Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and creative Copywriter with experience in nonprofit or humanitarian storytelling. We’re looking for a talented Copywriter who understands how words move people. You’ll be responsible for creating compelling, factual yet emotionally resonant, and conversion-focused copy across multiple digital channels. From fundraising campaigns and paid ads to emails, landing pages, and social media content.

This role is ideal for someone who can balance storytelling with strategy, write with empathy, and adapt tone across platforms while keeping campaign goals front and center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Paid ads (Meta, Google, YouTube, etc.)
  • SMS and WhatsApp campaigns
  • Email marketing and donor journeys
  • Landing pages and campaign pages
  • Social media posts and captions
  • Blogs, impact stories, and website content
  • Develop messaging aligned with campaign objectives such as awareness, fundraising, lead generation, or donor engagement.
  • Translate complex humanitarian issues into clear, human-centered narratives.
  • Adapt copy tone for different audiences, platforms, and regions.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, video editors, and account managers to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
  • Optimize copy for performance while maintaining emotional authenticity.
  • Revise and refine copy based on feedback, performance data, and client requirements.
  • Deliver projects on tight deadlines, especially for time-sensitive humanitarian campaigns, or emergency appeals.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a copywriter, preferably in digital marketing, nonprofit, or humanitarian sectors.
  • Strong command of English with excellent grammar, clarity, and flow.
  • Ability to write both emotional storytelling copy and direct-response copy.
  • Experience writing for performance-driven channels (ads, email, landing pages).
  • Strong understanding of audience psychology and call-to-action writing.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Comfortable collaborating within a creative team environment.
  • Passion for humanitarian work and social impact is highly valued.
