Job Description

Position: General Accountant

Location: Walton Road Lahore

Job Time: 7 PM – 5 AM

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Accountant based in Lahore. The General Accountant will oversee the daily accounting activities, including managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining financial records, and preparing financial reports. The role requires ensuring compliance with accounting standards, reconciling discrepancies, processing invoices, and assisting in budget preparation and auditing processes. Successful candidates will play a vital role in the efficient financial operations of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

· Record, review, and reconcile daily financial transactions

· Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments

· Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy

· Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations

· Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

· Prepare financial statements and management reports

· Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies

· Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation

· Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

· Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation

· Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

· Minimum 1 years of experience in a general accounting role (depending on seniority level)

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP/IFRS)

· Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems

· Advanced Excel skills

· Experience with reconciliations and financial reporting
