Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to spearhead our client acquisition efforts on the Upwork platform. In this pivotal role, you will be the frontline of our growth strategy, responsible for identifying, bidding on, and securing high-value projects that align with our service portfolio. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a hunter’s mindset and a proven ability to convert opportunities into long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic bidding plan to achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly revenue targets on Upwork.
- Craft compelling, customized, and high-converting proposals for projects in digital marketing, development, and IT services.
- Conduct thorough analysis of client requirements and market trends to tailor bids effectively and ensure competitive positioning.
- Manage the entire pre-sales cycle on Upwork, from initial discovery and proposal submission to negotiation and contract award.
- Optimize bidding strategies, profile health, and success metrics through data-driven insights and platform best practices.
- Collaborate closely with our delivery teams (SEO, Development, Marketing) to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with client expectations.
- Maintain meticulous records of bids, performance analytics, and client communications.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: 1-2 years of proven, successful experience in business development, sales, or bidding specifically on the Upwork platform. Background in IT services, digital marketing, or virtual assistance is highly preferred.
- Track Record: Demonstrable portfolio of won projects and a strong success rate on Upwork, with verifiable earnings history.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex service offerings persuasively and professionally.
- Skills: Strategic proposal writing, client needs analysis, competitive pricing, and negotiation. Proficiency in using Upwork’s interface and analytics.
- Mindset: Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working independently while contributing to team goals. A proactive problem-solver with acute attention to detail.
- Education: A-Levels required; a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a strong advantage.
