Job Description
We are seeking a Medical Coder specializing in Behavioral Health to accurately assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes for outpatient and inpatient behavioral health encounters. Responsibilities include coding clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with payer rules and HIPAA, collaborating with clinicians to clarify documentation, performing coding audits, and supporting process improvements. Required: 2+ years behavioral health coding experience, proficiency with EHR and coding software, strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT, attention to detail, and relevant certification (CCS, CPC, or equivalent) preferred.
