Job Description

As a Patient Caller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience by providing support related to medical billing inquiries. You will be the voice of our organization, offering clarity, empathy, and prompt assistance to patients with billing questions or concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact patients regarding outstanding balances, billing discrepancies, or insurance updates.
• Provide clear and compassionate explanations of charges, statements, and payment options.
• Handle incoming and outgoing calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Collaborate with billing teams and healthcare providers to resolve patient issues quickly.
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions in the billing system.
• Follow up on payment arrangements and assist in setting up payment plans.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
• Continuously improve patient experience through thoughtful communication and process improvements.

Required Competencies:

• 2+ years of experience in a healthcare call center or medical billing role.
• Familiarity with billing systems, EHRs, and insurance processes.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
• Experience working with patient databases and CRM/EMR software.
• A team player with a passion for patient service and healthcare operations.
