Job Description:
Nayab Labs & Diagnostic Centre is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Microbiologist to join our diagnostic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing, analyzing, and reporting microbiological tests while ensuring compliance with quality standards, biosafety protocols, and laboratory SOPs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized microbiology tests including Culture & Sensitivity, Gram Stain, AFB, and Serological tests
- Process and analyze clinical samples (blood, urine, sputum, swabs, etc.)
- Conduct antibiotic sensitivity testing and interpret results accurately
- Ensure daily quality control and internal quality assurance procedures
- Follow laboratory SOPs, biosafety, and infection control protocols
- Verify and release microbiology reports with accuracy and timeliness
- Supervise and train laboratory technologists and support staff
- Maintain compliance with ISO, UKAS, PNRA, and RIQAS quality standards
Required Qualifications:
- MSc or MPhil in Microbiology
- 2–3 years of experience in a diagnostic laboratory (preferred)
