Job Description

The Store In-Charge is responsible for the overall management of store operations, including inventory control, stock handling, documentation, and coordination with internal departments. The role ensures accurate inventory records, proper storage of materials, timely issuance and receipt of goods, and compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Store & Inventory Management

  • Manage day-to-day store operations, including receipt, storage, and issuance of materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP or manual systems.
  • Ensure proper stock labeling, segregation, and safe storage of materials.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile variances.

Documentation & Record Keeping

  • Prepare and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), issue slips, bin cards, and stock registers.
  • Ensure proper documentation for inward and outward movement of inventory.
  • Maintain records for damaged, obsolete, and slow-moving items.

Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate with procurement, production, accounts, and logistics teams for smooth store operations.
  • Ensure timely issuance of materials as per approved requisitions.
  • Support audits by providing inventory reports and documentation.

Controls, Compliance & Safety

  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to minimize losses, wastage, and pilferage.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the store area at all times.

Reporting & Improvement

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and stock movement reports.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance store efficiency.
  • Support system implementation or upgrades related to inventory management.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Handle any other store-related tasks assigned by management.
  • Ensure effective coordination during peak operations and emergency requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Accounts, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience as a Store In-Charge or in store/inventory management

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and store operations
  • Hands-on experience with ERP or inventory management systems
  • Good documentation and reporting skills
  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities
  • Attention to detail and control-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage store staff and work under pressure

  • Inventory accuracy and variance control

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs45,00.00 – Rs50,00.00 per month
