Job Description
This role is responsible for achieving sales targets and managing the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) business working capital efficiently. The position requires maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance. The ideal candidate should have experience in Corporate/Commercial Banking with a strong knowledge of Trade and Working Capital products.
- Achieve the sales targets set by the Team Leader.
- Solicit new SME customers in line with the bank’s sales policy, strategy, and targets.
- Visit existing SME Banking Customers to deepen relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Ensure strict adherence to Account Opening procedures as per policies and guidelines.
- Conduct thorough Credit Risk Assessments for SME Trade and Working Capital Clients.
- Prepare comprehensive Business Credit Applications for SME clients.
- Manage the SME credit portfolio efficiently, ensuring zero expired facilities.
- Promote the highest level of customer service and responsiveness to SME Banking Customers.
- Assess the needs and problems of existing SME customers, providing intelligent solutions to their queries and concerns.
- Monitor SME customer fund movements, identifying and addressing cases where customers fall below criteria levels.
- Follow sales management and credit processes regularly, submitting required reports to management in a timely manner.
- Maintain close coordination with Client Management and Operations staff to provide prompt and excellent service to SME customers.
- Ensure adherence to know-your-customer (KYC) requirements, supported by proper documentation.
- Monitor and respond to AML reports daily, weekly, and monthly, highlighting any suspicious activities.
- Ensure timely closure of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and compliance with AML guidelines to prevent issues in audits.
- Properly and timely dispose of exceptions from MLP reports.
- Ensure the branch premises maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and comfort.
- Corporate/ Commercial Banking with strong knowledge Trade and Working Capital products.
- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and business credit application processes for SMEs.
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills, specifically with SME clients.
- Ability to monitor and manage SME customer fund movements effectively.
- Proficiency in compliance and AML guidelines.
- Strong coordination and communication skills with internal teams.
