Job Description
Location: Gulberg II, Lahore
Shift: Night Shift | Monday to Friday | 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control & Data Management Specialist to join our team in the electronics manufacturing industry. This role ensures the accurate management, tracking, and archiving of engineering and production documents in accordance with company standards, industry regulations, and quality management systems (QMS).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Document Control
- Maintain and archive documentation from Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Process Engineering departments, including:
- Formatted and raw BOMs
- Gerber, BRD, and Step files
- PDF drawings, SOPs, work instructions, forms
- Document control lists, product codes, customer prefixes
- Supplier/vendor information and manufacturer datasheets
- Link datasheets for existing and new parts, maintaining historical archives for all down-revision documents.
- Ensure accurate classification, version control, and accessibility of all documents.
- Distribute controlled documents to appropriate stakeholders while adhering to document lifecycle procedures.
2. Data Management
- Manage the entry, storage, and retrieval of design data, BOMs, and part numbers in the company’s systems.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across platforms.
- Implement and maintain proper backup and archiving practices for long-term data preservation.
- Support Process Engineering by verifying build files, ensuring:
- Complete BOMs with internal part numbers, quantities, designators, and MPNs
- Valid Gerber files with correct artwork layers (paste, mask, silkscreen)
- PCB/panel drawings with dimensions and fiducials
- XY.txt files with correct coordinate data and orientation
- Assembly PDFs with polarity and reference designators
3. Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and industry standards (ISO, RoHS, IPC, etc.).
- Maintain document trails and logs required for internal and external audits.
- Contribute to documentation of QMS-compliant control procedures.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with relevant departments to fulfill documentation and data needs.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on document management tools and best practices.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in document control/data management, preferably in electronics manufacturing
- Experience with technical documentation, ECOs, and BOM handling
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of document management tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Familiarity with QMS, ISO standards, and data compliance requirements
Preferred:
- Understanding of ISO 9001 / ISO 13485
- Basic electronics terminology and manufacturing process knowledge
Salary: Market competitive with incentives like health & life insurance, PF, EOBI, Mobile & internet allowance and an annual bonus.
This is a full-time, on-site, night-shift position based in Gulberg II, Lahore.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
