Job Description – Senior Engineer
Location: Islamabad (Northern Region Office)

Position Overview:
The Senior Engineer will play a key role in managing, executing, and delivering PGE’s projects in Islamabad and the Northern Region. This role demands strong technical expertise, site supervision, project coordination, and client liaison skills. The Senior Engineer will also guide junior engineers/technicians and ensure compliance with PGE’s quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Execution & Supervision:
- Lead installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Traffic Signals, Parking Systems, Automatic Doors, and road saftey solutions.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
- Supervise on-site teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Technical Leadership:
- Review project drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical solutions to site challenges.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety codes, and client specifications.
- Client & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and government officials.
- Conduct site surveys and present technical solutions.
- Assist the Regional Head in technical discussions and proposal preparation.
- Team Management:
- Mentor and train junior engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and evaluate performance.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare project progress reports, site inspection notes, and as-built documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation of testing, commissioning, and handover.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering (PEC registration preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years in Traffic Engineering, Automation, or related infrastructure projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Traffic Signal Systems, Parking Systems, Access Control, and Solar Power Systems.
- Hands-on experience with controllers, sensors, wiring, networking, and automation systems.
- Familiarity with government tendering, BOQs, and site compliance.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Client-facing confidence, problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
