Job Description

Merchandiser (Fabric Processing Dyeing & Printing)

Location: Lahore

Industry: Textile (Processing)

Company Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Merchandiser (Fabric Processing Dyeing & Printing) to join our Processing Merchandising Department.

This position is ideal for professionals with strong coordination, analytical, and organizational skills who can effectively bridge communication between marketing, production, and processing teams to ensure smooth, timely, and high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities

1. Order & Planning Phase

· Receive and review order details from the marketing team.

· Understand fabric type, design, color, and processing requirements.

· Prepare internal order sheets and plan dyeing/printing schedules as per TNA (Time & Action Plan).

2. Sampling & Color Development

· Coordinate with processing mills for lab dips, strike-offs, and sample approvals.

· Manage shade matching, color approval, and ensure sample accuracy before bulk production.

· Communicate with clients/marketing for final sample confirmation.

3. Bulk Production Coordination

· Issue approved samples and instructions to processing units.

· Monitor daily dyeing, re-dyeing, and digital printing operations.

· Ensure production meets quality standards and delivery timelines.

· Maintain WIP (Work-in-Process) records and update daily production reports.

4. Quality & Technical Control

· Supervise color consistency, fabric quality, and finishing standards.

· Coordinate with quality teams to resolve process or shade variation issues.

· Ensure all production meets client and internal quality benchmarks.

5. Reporting & Documentation

· Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production and stock reports (party-wise).

· Maintain processing records, rate contracts, and lot closing documentation.

· Track dispatches and ensure accurate data for billing and costing.

6. Coordination & Communication

· Liaise between marketing, production, and processing teams for smooth workflow.

· Communicate any delays, technical issues, or process changes promptly.

· Ensure timely resolution of processing and quality issues raised by teams.

7. Post-Production & Billing

· Verify lot closing, dispatch status, and inventory updates.

· Handle processor billing, verify rates, and ensure contract compliance.

Finalize records for completed lots and report to Merchandising Manager

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Merchandising, or Business (Diploma/Certification in Merchandising is a plus).
• Experience: 2–5 years in fabric processing, dyeing, printing, or textile merchandising.
• Strong knowledge of fabric dyeing, printing, and finishing processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools (ERP experience preferred).
• Excellent communication, coordination, and time management skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure with a proactive attitude.
